Community Volunteering for All Ages
- 14 - 54, to register with SRIV to meet their volunteer service goals.
- Children under 14 are encouraged to volunteer alongside their parents or grandparents who are registered volunteers in appropriate service opportunities within the community
- Retired Senior Volunteer Program RSVP targets citizens over 55 and encourages them to stay active by volunteering their time to local agencies that are in dire need of assistance. RSVP gives seniors an opportunity to participate in fulfilling activities which can make a difference in the lives of others. Volunteer activities help seniors improve self-confidence and self-esteem, which helps reduce blood pressure and improves immune function. In addition to helping seniors stay healthy and happy, RSVP also serves as a resource to the local non-profits, government agencies, and health care proprietors that are registered as stations. These stations,, with assistance from our RSVP volunteers, meet critical community needs.
