With Memorial Day just a few days away, southern Rhode Island's busiest and most beloved time of year is right around the corner. Summer in South County is a season of walks and 5Ks, beach cleanups and festivals, and SRIV volunteers will be volunteering at many of them. From old favorites like the Washington County Fair to newer additions like Frosty Drew's Sea Star Market and the Charlestown Community Garden's Harvest Festival SRIV will be helping make these events great successes.
If you have ever wanted to volunteer, but did not have the time to make a weekly commitment, now is you chance to get involved! These events take just a few hours of volunteer time. Plus most events are outside and many sponsoring organizations offer our volunteers free or reduced entrance fees.
If you are interested contact Lindsay Tanner at lptanner@southernrivol.org or call 401.789.2362 and ask to join the Summer Events Volunteer Team. We will put you on our weekly mailing list and throughout the summer we will send you all of our special event and one-time volunteer opportunities.
Or you can sign up right here!
