Southern Rhode Island Volunteers’ mission is to enhance lives by inspiring, creating and supporting a lifelong culture of service through our volunteer members and affiliates across Southern Rhode Island.
On October 19, 2019 from 10 am to 4 pm SRIV is hosting our first annual Applumpkin Day. We have a few volunteer opportunities to assist with the day’s activities. If you have school or club community service hours this might just be for you. Contact Morgan at 401-552-7661 today to reserve yours spot. Limited opportunity and you must register no later than September 30, 2019.
Right now a homebound older person is waiting for someone who wants to visit with them for one or two hours once a week—very flexible schedule. Do you have the time to alleviate isolation for someone? We’re looking for a few good people to meet this need.
Volunteers who are willing to provide transportation to older people who have no access to healthcare appointments, grocery stores, pharmacies, food pantries and farmers’ markets are needed. Mileage reimbursement is available. Supplemental insurance is provided.
SRIV needs someone to deliver a Meals on Wheels route on Wednesdays. The opportunity is to deliver frozen meals to two individuals who are in the Exeter/Richmond area. Is that someone you? Other Meals on Wheels routes are available across Washington County as well.
A local senior housing facility would like volunteers to visit with residents in the beautiful Watch Hill area.
YOU ARE INVITED!
If you are interested in any of these opportunities, contact SRIV today to register as a volunteer: use the link below or call (401) 552-7661.
