 SRIV offers meaningful opportunities to help those in need. SRIV’s dedicated staff assists new and seasoned volunteers achieve personal service goals!  Put your skills and interests into action making our communities great places to live, work and age in; there is something for everyone at SRIV!                 

Step 1: Complete the volunteer sign-up form. Click here to download.

Step 2: Volunteers 18+ must complete a criminal history background check. For volunteers 18 to 61 years of age, SRIV will need a copy of your license and $5 in cash or a check made out to the Rhode Island Attorney General to process the background check. For those volunteers 62 years of age or older the Attorney General requires no fee. You must also fill out the Attorney General Disclaimer - the form must be notarized, which can be done at our office by members of our staff or by any Rhode Island notary.

Step 4: Make an appointment to meet with Jessen Nichols, Americorps Retired Senior Volunteer Program Director by contacting the office at 401-552-7661 or email him at jnichols@southernrivol.org. Jessen will return all received contacts within 3 business days. (All forms listed above, including registration, can be completed at orientation as well.
